Biography

Jemima is originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the world’s most populous Francophone country. She holds a degree in Arts and Letters and has more than a decade of teaching experience in both secondary and higher education, having begun teaching at a young age.

She supports students in the French Writing and Speaking Labs for courses ranging from French 201 to 495. In this role, she helps students strengthen their written and oral proficiency, prepare for language proficiency assessments, and develop confidence in communicating in French in academic and intercultural contexts.

Previously, at the Institut National des Arts in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, she taught classical voice and music theory and served as a teaching assistant for courses in ethnomusicology and African cultures.
