Biography

Joyce Guidi is an adjunct faculty in the French and Italian Department at Brigham Young University. Her work in obtaining a Masters in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching allowed her to have many teaching opportunities to be a French teacher and drove her to study the balance between French and English in a French-language classroom.

Research Interests

My area of focus lays in the study of the use of French and English while teaching French as a second language. I have defended and published a thesis on that exact topic that is available for anybody to read.

Teaching Interests

BYU provides many opportunities for the study of various second languages that are spoken around the world. I enjoy teaching courses on French grammar and French conversation and am passionate about helping students improve their speaking abilities as a faculty member of the French-Speaking Lab at BYU. My passion for quality learning is carried through every single level of French that I teach, and I feel extremely blessed to be part of this department and college.
