La Sonrisa :)

Of those things that I don't understand:
Like the lay of the land,
Like the reach of the hand,
It's those foreign words that have most troubled me.
I'm just smiling back because I don't understand.

Spanish, English, Anguish.
The hardest walk is communication.

Of those things I long to understand:
Like the voice to the song,
Like the eyes of the strong,
It’s those daily dreams that have most hurried me.
I'm just smiling back because I long to be understood.

Anxiety, ambiguity, affinity.
It's time for a new interpretation.

Of those things I've long understood:
Like two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
Like the fight of bad and good,
It's those without the gift that have most inspired me.
I'm just smiling back because there's a new understanding.

Quiero guardar la sonrisa.

At long last we understand
Why this place reaches for a mile.
Like that reached out hand:
I'll try to make them smile.
