Professor Carl Sederholm (Comparative Arts & Letters) was recently given an award of appreciation from the division of Continuing Education for his supportive role with the BYU Salt Lake Center. His assistance with and interest in the Salt Lake Center and continuing education helped distinguish him as the proud recipient of this award.

As chair of the Comparative Arts & Letters (CAL) department, Sederholm approves courses to be taught at the center and has helped expand the number of CAL classes offered.

Sederholm’s belief in the importance of the Salt Lake Center stems from his wife’s experience taking classes there as she decided to go back to school. He noted that it was the perfect way for his wife to get back into classes, and it provided the flexibility and accommodations that their family needed.

“I am personally grateful for the Salt Lake center and the blessing it was to my family,” said Sederholm. “We want to bless as many lives as possible and help get the word out about all the opportunities available at the Salt Lake Center.”
