Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on department and need. The Intern receives assignments from supervising staff. The Manager reviews the Intern’s work occasionally. The supervisor reviews each assignment as it is completed. The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail. Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required. Sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol are also expected.

Editorial Support: Fact-check and edit article drafts and research topics as assigned to support blog articles and creatives. May write content as assigned.
Online Publishing Support: Help find images to support the blog and newsroom that follow the FamilySearch style guide. Keep track of needful image copyright information for intellectual property reports.
Blog and Newsroom Support: Perform page analytics and optimizations as assigned. Manage blog comments. Help volunteers and service missionaries understand the purpose of the work they’re doing and sense the meaningful nature of their contributions.
Tracking and Reporting: Assist in maintaining needful documentation and filing systems required to support productive workflow and reporting.
Other projects: Assist with other team projects as needed. May include developing, writing, editing, and preparing content for online publishing.QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interest in or knack for keyword research
- Some experience with writing and/or editing
- Experience with SEO analytic tools (Adobe Anayltics, Adobe Suite, Searchlight, SEMRush, Google Adwords, etc)
- Experience with a WYSIWYG editor or CMS system a plus (WordPress, Brightspot, etc.)
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and previous image editing experience a plus
- Bachelor’s (or near completion) in Marketing, PR, Journalism or related field
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.WORTHINESS QUALIFICATION
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
