Inspired by the legacy of Opal Lee, who’s annual 2.5-mile walk helped establish Juneteenth as a national holiday, this event will invite members of the campus community to gather in reflection, unity, learning, and celebration as we honor the significance of Juneteenth and the enduring themes of freedom, hope, resilience, and community.
